I am looking for a better pre-game routine. Wing-t, spread, and option guys, I need some help!

this is an awfully vague question...what is it that you do already? are you looking for a new offense or just a different way to warm-up? To quote Sean Connery's character (Willima Forrester) from the movie, Finding Forrester, "that my son is not a soup question."

Sorry so vague but we run the wing and the spread and run option out of both. I am looking for a better way to get my players ready and not worn out.

Coach, try a search, there have been a few good threads on warmup routines.
Our warmup has gotten shorter and shorter and consequently seems to be better.

I don't really know why choice of offensive scheme has much to do with pre-game warm ups. Maybe I am in the dark on this one.

here is what we do...........hope it helps 6:00 Quarterbacks 6:10 First Wave (Carry Pads) All Skill Players/Snappers/Kickers/Punters 6:30 QBs & Reciviers ~ Routes 6:35 Second Wave (Full Pads) Linemen stretch in End Zone 6:45 Team Chants and "Spell it out" 6:50 Individual Linemen in End Zone QB/Rec/RB on the 20 Linebackers on Home side 40 Secondary Visitor side 30 6:55 Team Offense Team Defense 7:00 Team Punt (from 40) & PAT 7:05 "TAKE IT IN" 7:30 GATA

Thanks pegleg.
I did a search and threads for lifting and running came up so I started a new thread.
What we run makes all the difference, I am looking for suggestions for a pre game warm up to get the players ready to do what we do.
What are some things people do?

What we run makes all the difference, I am sorry, I don't really follow how this matters at all. Get loosened up...get some contact under your belt...get a few catches/kicks/throws/handoffs out of the way...and play. I don't see how it matters much if you are a _____ team vs a ______ team vs a _______ team vs a ________ team how you accomplish the above. Could you enlighten me a bit on your thought process

we played a team the past 2 years who has been a state power the past 15 years, and they do a 5 min dynamic warm-up, then they get in lines and the entire team will drive block, down block L & R, and then angle tackle L & R.
Then they meet at one sideline and run perfect plays for 10 yards up to the 50 and then back down the other sideline until they get to the goalline and then the meet in the endzone for 3-5 min and then they come out and kick butt. I would say this all takes less than 20 min.
