Our staff will be at the Glazier Clinics in Concord and Reno.
I've been to AFCA numerous times, but not this year. Nashville is awesome. I'd also suggest staying at the host hotel.

Already booked, paid for, and a done deal for the wife and I to attend the AFCA in Nashville, TN... pvogel is trying to get me to put together the money to come stay with him for the Tampa Glazier though... don't know if I can afford 2 cross-country trips in one clinic season... we'll see. Find a good tax guy, this is a professional trip and should be a complete write off, only way I have been able to make the trip the last couple of years. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Any other tips on the AFCA convention? I'm also thinking of bringing my wife. She loves to travel, loves the football atmosphere, and said she can find other things to do while I'm at sessions. She would definitely get into the wife activities. Do you recommend staying at the convention hotel? rooms at Gaylord were booked

Going to Glazier in Nashville. Also hope to get back up to the Hybrid Wing-T Clinic if they have it again this year. Are you talking about Coach Wright's or something else? I think I'm going to go to LeCharles Bentley's clinic in Cleveland. I'm thinking about COOL this year.

I just checked with a coach who has a room there already. I'll be one of six in that room. lol. Thanks for the heads up tho.

You're showing your age again... Back in those days, you really could get an advantage by going to clinics, finding books and going to colleges..Now a days we learn everything from the internet. I am a better coach but others have closed basically closed the gap. Now IMO the advantage is on the field technology and the ability to adjust on the fly faster than your opponent I will be there 2, my WR is playing! My staff is going to the Atlanta Glazier's. I am NOT impressed by the lineups probably won't go in, chill outside and talk to other coaches to learn more.

Going to try to hit up the Tennessee Clinic. Maybe Carson-Newman, too.
I've never been to a Glazier. I'm looking at maybe Nashville, Atlanta, or Charlotte, if I can get the money situation worked out since I'll be going on my own dime.
Anybody doing the COOL clinic? That's one that's been on my list for a while.

Yes... easier to just be there and not have to worry about travel except maybe 1 or 2 times if you want to get out with the wife a couple of times. Ther are always cabs out and about and so many people out walking around, its not bad at all. I've never been to Nashville, so not sure about the layout, but in Louisville and San Antonio you could have gone either way. Let me now when you guys are gonna get into town and we can meet up and do drinks or something. Opryland Hotel is a ways away from downtown. You want to stay there for the convention, but it'll be a ride into town from there. For those who go, definitely stay at the hotel and then take an Uber or a cab into downtown Nashville for the fun stuff. Like most major cities, if you get lost you're likely to wind up in a part of town you definitely don't want to be in. Plus you don't want to have to drive yourself back after after a fun night out.

I disagree I have gone 4/5 times it's great highlight was eating breakfast with Mike Munchak and talking about how to use your puller to block the 8th hat vs. under and bear fronts. If you run a spread or pro style offense these guys have answers to any o line question you have. But you won't know if you don't ask.
