I'm not a fan of the Giants, or the Mannings...I even thought Eli was overrated.
But...
There was a moment they showed on ESPN...or Fox. Of Peyton and Eli being brothers. It was pretty cool.
They were about 6 inches from each other's face. Peyton was talking about how it was almost better to be down by 4 instead of 3 because you drive for a win not for a tie.
Eli was talking about the sluggo route to Plexico for the game winning TD.
Peyton said how happy he was for him, and that "tonight we're going to throw a few back for sure".
Eli seemed like he was just happy he could make his big-bro proud.
Maybe I'm making some of this up in my head, but it seemed like just for a split second, there was a sense of normalcy in the NFL...away from the contracts, media hype, marketing, egos...etc.
Thought it was cool. Most memorable moment for me for me as a coach. That and the talking stain commercial.

Watching Peyton in the box was really cool last night....You could see it on his face and through his actions that he was thrilled for his brother
I never had a brother to play ball with or watch play but for those who have it must have been, or still is, a special experience and bond to share

I bet it's tough being Cooper Manning... Coop's career was ended by a neck injury/condition. He was a D1 WR at Ole Miss. Would he have made it to the NFL? Nobody knows...would he have ended up as good as Peyton and Eli in the NFL? Probably not .

From what I've heard and read, Cooper is a great guy (maybe the most fun-loving, out-going of the 3 manning bros) and is extremely proud of his brothers and his family name. Apparently there is very little jealousy (I believe he runs a successful business??)... Needless to say I'm sure family dinners are a blast (and are stacked with really expensive wines, considering the combined family net worth!)

Another great moment from the SB was seeing Bruschi running around on the field with his kids before the game. They were having the time of their lives at a place that VERY few other kids can ever say they did.
Those will make for incredible memories for those boys and great additions to the family photo album.
As intrusive as all those cameras might seem (there were 4 or 5 camera just a few feet from the Bruschi kids' faces!) it makes for heart-warming television - and a nice break from the non-stop blabbering about spygate!

cooper manning is an investment banker.
he also manages payton's qb/wr camp and works the camp with the wr.
payton manning needs to get a personal trainer IMO. he looks like he could lose a few pounds from his middle section.

Peyton was definitely in his brother's corner during the game. I did make the joke that we may never know if he was truly rooting for Eli or just was for damned sure rooting against Brady/the Patriots.
Say what you will, Eli and the Giants did it. Most improbable thing I've seen in awhile but they legit beat all of those great teams they played, and Eli Manning was surely an integral part of the whole thing. Made a lot of crisp throws. Plus you have to get a little lucky to pull off those kinds of wins.

Yeah I'm sure Cooper has done quite well for himself outside of football.
I like the ESPN Sportcenter promo with the Manning family getting a tour of the studio and Peyton and Eli kicking eachother nad behaving as if they were were 11-12 years old.

I feel good for old Archie....getting hammered all those years playing for the Saints....not even a winning season to show for all that work....then to have your sons succeed and reach the ultimate goal....how sweet that must feel?

Especially after the stunt the Manning's pulled on draft day with Eli and Rivers...

Just to play devil's advocate for a second - and not to take anything away from Eli and his performance in these playoffs - but it takes a lot more than a few good games to make it to the HOF. He's off to a great start, granted, but it's only been 4 weeks. He really wasn't even that spectacular during the regular season and it wasn't that long ago that a lot of NYG fans were calling for his head after throwing one of his 20-something picks.
If he puts these kind of performances together for several more years, then yes, he will one day join The Manning Wing in Canton.

I am not really a Manning fan just had the thought. I agree he has had good moments. After seeing clips of his dad and then to see Peyton, followed by Eli if all three were in the HOF that would be just incredible, I think Peyton is a better clutch performer than Eli but Eli is still young.

Definitely. It's remarkable to see how much he improved in just this season... who knows where he'll be 5 or 10 years from now. Might even turn out to be better than Peyton... ?!? (Okay, okay, I wouldn't take that bet, but who knows).
