Watching film for our upcoming playoff game this past saturday, film from a team that didn't level their tripod so the film was tilted at about 15 degrees, our starting left guard blurted out "man, it's crazy their field is so slanted like that..."

Got one like that...we are playing a team that starts with "W"...long bus ride we arrive 2 hours early and let the players walk around to stretch their legs before going to the locker room. Our guys are walking down the visitors side of the field, walking by the midfield logo (not knowing several of his coaches are almost directly behind him) exclaims "D@mn that's a biga$$ phuggin "M" "

We had they same thing happen to us with the "M" situation! We were walking the field like you were and one of our kids says "coach why the got's a W in the middle of they field." Basically the whole team stopped and looked at him. One of them says "you idiot that is an "M". Warm-ups were a wash later with all the kids hollering "hey coach why they got's a "W" in the middle of the field? Broke the tension in a tough situation.

We had a big national semifinal game. I was running the scout O meeting trying to focus on things like how big their receiver splits were etc. but they seem to be consistently distracted. Eventually I start hearing them, every time I change camera views there's a chorus from about half of them. When the sideline view comes up they all shout "Look, it's an 'M'!"  When the end zone comes up the other shout "No, it's a '3'!" Ep. It's both. The facility (its huge and way more than just this field) is shared by Université de Montréal, Université de Québec à Montréal, and École Polytechnique de Montréal. Those of you keeping score at home, that's "3" schools in "M"ontreal.  |
