We are a passing team.
I have been looking at the Rawlings 5-Panel football anyone use this ball?
I like and normally use the Rawlings ST5.
Any of you passing gurus recommend a ball?

Down here in Florida, we do not have a choice once we hit the playoffs. We are required to use the Spalding J5V. Not a bad ball, but it would be nice to make our own decision.

I second the GST. If we were every fortunate enough to make it to the Dome here in Louisiana, the state has a contract with Baden. I HATE Baden balls.
LOVE GST!!!
We used the the J5Vs in the past too. They just seemed to pointy to me for some reason.
I LOVE the GST's synthetic laces!!
I just ordered 8 of them for game balls for this summer's 7 on 7.

what kind of ball does your QB like to throw? A few years back we bought about 7 different types of balls for our QB's to throw all summer. (Nike, Reebok, Rawlings st-5, wilson, baden, and a couple different 5 panel balls) With in a few days our QB's were all fighting to get the Rawlings st-5 to throw.
It does not matter how much we like the ball, the qb's need to like them.

We were fortunate and never actually played in the rain last year, but we did have a 30 minute delay on our first round home playoff game due to some very heavy thunderstorms. It was MUDDDDDDYYYYY. We had no fumbles and no interceptions all game with the GST. We didnt throw the ball a whole bunch, but we did what we could. We won 33-6.
So I guess I have never had a bad experience with the GST.
Rawlings has a new ball out that is the same color as the GST when they are new. Anyone got any info on that one?

Good point - this is why we started using the GST last year. Our QBs stumbled apon them at BC football camp. They loved the grip, so we purchased a bunch of them. what kind of ball does your QB like to throw? A few years back we bought about 7 different types of balls for our QB's to throw all summer. GST in regular season, but our district has a contract for J5V in district playoffs, then the state has GST as the required ball. I was about to say only in PA, but I see other states have similar situations. Go figure.
