I am fascinated by the US generals/admirals in WWII and their leadership methods: Marshall, Patton, Ike, Bradley, Bull Halsely, Nimitz, Macarthur

Right now I'm reading "Flyboys" by James Bradley. It's the story of several American fighter pilots who were captured and killed by the Japanese during WWII.

Both Sun Tzu and von Clausevitz have good things to say that are applicable to football. Have read both to help sharpen my mind and get it into the right set. Patton and Bradley are both good generals to read, Patton even talks about football in some of his speeches to his men, uses football analogies etc.

I learned about Chesty Puller in boot camp. Wasn't he the first Marine to ever receive the Medal of Honor? He said, "you're not a true Marine until you get thrown in the brig."
