I have so many field questions...
Stickers.. I have so many stickers...
I read somewhere else that by the time they are up, its too late. That the dead sticker is what creates the bur that sticks.
Also, anyone ever had killdeer lay eggs on their field???
Should I, when should I, over seed to try to choke out those stickers and the small spots of crabgrass I have growing?

Should have over seeded already technically unless you live in northern most parts of the country. But you can still over seed, need to aerate first, then unless its rained recently I would water your field then spread the seed. Gonna need to stay off the field for a week or so probably so the seed will take, the longer you stay off the field and more water you can get to it on a regular basis the better off you will be. We are going to try to do the same thing with our practice field our last day of spring ball is thursday and we wont be on it for a couple weeks because of testing so it gives us a window to try and get something done.

What area are you in and what type of grass are you working with?

I had a killdeer in my yard. It left after my dog ate its eggs. I liked having the bird around but my dog enjoys the taste of eggs wherever she can find them.
We have had the best luck seeding at the end of the season. If the field is in bad shape, anytime will help.

There is something you can get to kill them, can't remember the name of it right off hand. It's expensive though, around $160.00 a gallon. You can get it tinted so that you can be sure of the coverage area.
I'm gonna try to remember the name of it and reply again.
But you dilute the concentrate down with water and you cover the field with it. Kills off the stickers.

MSMA will kill everything except your Bermuda. If you mix it very hot it may turn Bermuda brown, but don't worry it will come back. Needs to be a warm temp before you spray, like above 80 degrees through the night. Also don't water for 48 hours after you spray (check weather forecast to avoid rain.)
I'm not sure about the stickers. You're correct that even if you kill them they are still there now. You may just have to live with them this year, but during winter if you will spray pre-merge once a month it will drastically decrease your weeds, stickers etc next year.
After you MSMA the field, fertilize it. water every morning (about 15 minutes each station) and cut it 3 times a week. This should help the Bermuda choke out everything. Remember that Bermuda is basically a weed, and it will take over if you help it.
Is that what you're looking for?

Agree. Think a field maintenance section would be an excellent addition. My dad once remarked of my "green thumb" abilities: "son you could kill kudzu"

Call your local golf course or country club. Ask them for advice. Or even if they are willing to donate time and effort. Bermuda is pretty easy to grow in the south. Hot humid weather and some water and that stuff will take off. Especially if your fertilize it. Killing the crap grass is a little harder. As mentioned you can spray for it and it will kill it. Might set your Bermuda back a little but it's early in the summer. We contract out our spraying. And they spray preemergent in Novememer and late February. So we don't have a lot of trouble with weeds. Also get someone to come out and verticut it early in the summer which helps loosen up the soil and really lets that Bermuda take off and run.

Also a good resource we use is our local Single A baseball team. They have helped us out on what type of grass and when se should be over seeding.

Our baseball team pulled a dad in who does landscaping/grass care. He was a huge success. Our baseball field rivals any college field. You might see if there are any dad's like that on your team.

Spray with 2 4 d Which is just about any weed killer And be sure u start bagging the clippings, cause the old stickers are the seeds, only way to get rid of them after they are established

Bagging the clippings should help once you have killed it.
