Everett and his family are going to have some life altering challenges ahead of them. I pray they have the strength to pull through.

I guess one could say it is a miracle, but Everett woke up today and could move his arms and legs. The doctor that performs the surgery was beyond shocked. Still said he will likely never be 100%, but he will LIKELY walk and lead a fairly normal life now. Supposely the procedure they performed and the precautionary stuff they implimented before the surgery may have been the trick. I guess they put his spinal cord into hyperthermia minutes after the injury and it regulated the spinal swelling and a lot of the other problems.

ESPN Sportscenter just interviewed a doctor who said exactly that. The speed in which this injury was treated and the medical know-how of the drs. is what saved him. Still, nothing short of a miracle that it appears to be working out for him.

Good read wingtol.
It's a shame they have to put this in that article
"There are some stereotypes at times around the league about guys from the University of Miami and I can say that Kevin fits none of them."
How does Miami have to feel?
I just hope Kevin is able to get his life back to normal...
