I'm in CA and we are slowly starting to move away from contact and now helmets. Apparently this new law will not allow us to wear helmets all summer. This will be a shock for most, especially we do 7on7 with helmets.
What are rules in your state?

Virginia: We can practice all year (except for dead periods at the beginning of winter and fall seasons and in mid July) but no helmets or pads and no contact.

I actually don't mind it that much... Kills my camp which was a huge pride of mine And our best fundraiser
But for practice it's whatever, I'll move on and be ok
I actually HATE wearing helmets in 7on7 and prefer not to wear them at tourneys
Kids play reckless in helmets and I think more injuries occur in them but that's just my personal feelings I have no data to back it up

As a DC I think it is hard to do any team or inside run without helmets.

As a DC I think it is hard to do any team or inside run without helmets. Then don't Work a ton of Indy Work block recognition drills Work block destruction drills Work tackling drills (still a ton you can work with no gear with bags) You're working all of the components that go into inside run and team We can wear gear starting July 25, still an entire month to hit each other to get ready for first game
