I'm sure this must have been discussed on here a hundred times, but I'm new to this and it will be much easier for me to just start a new thread. I'm going for an interview for another HC position and want to make a great presentation for them. I'm in the midst of putting all my stuff on a powerpoint presentation. Want to make sure I have everything I need in there. So far I have made an outline that i'm going to try to link in here. The HC job I have I wasn't really prepared too well for the interview. I kinda just went in and winged it and I impressed them, plus they were sorta desperate. I have college experience which really impressed them. anyway, please let me know what you think of my outline before I put on powerpoint.
Ok, I can't figure it out. Anyone know how to attach a word document to a post? haha

I wouldn't mind seeing your presentation. As for attaching it I think that would be Brophy's or Tog's department. You can always attach it to yousendit.com and post the link

Thanks a lot. I appreciate it. Anything I'm forgetting or should add?

I would love to see that powerpoint. That is alot of info. I go on Wednesday for my HC interview, 40 minutes long. I do not know if I could fit all that info into 40 minutes. I have everything you have but you break it down in much more detail.

Man, I doubt I'll have it finished by Wednesday. But good luck, make sure to post back and tell everyone how it went, plus what type of things were asked. I'll send it to you when I finish, but that will most likely be next weekend.

Moose--
All I can really say is try to make the offense the same from the Varsity all the way down to the youth level. If your Offense is complex give them a vanilla version to work with.
Tell the youth coaches what YOU want--afterall they are a feeder program for you.
Example: We run Full House T and they run it all the way down. By the time the 3rd and 4th graders get to Varsity they will have run the base plays thousands of times.
Also make it YOUR program--be visible at JV and youth games--always be coaching whether the other coaches like it or not.
I don't know if this will help you or not but it is how things are done here and it seems to be working as we lost only 2 games in the WHOLE program--youth to Varsity.

Moose,
Good stuff there. My only suggestion of change is one word you used a lot in the piece:
MAKE and MAKING
instead, try words like "COMPEL, DESIGNATE, APPOINT, FORMULATE" for the various meanings and usage of the word.
Just adds a little bit to the presentation. Great job on it- I am filing it for some reference tips when I need to create one!
