What are some things you coaches do to help your kids out that want to play in college?

We try to make them aware of the possibilities during their sophomore season and get THEM to think about what they need to do such as academics, lifting, and running. The highly motivated ones get encouraged to go the camps at their top choice schools. As juniors we start making their personal videos and sending their names out to the colleges, both through the return mail cards as well as on our own. We'll try and make sure their goals are realistic (D-III vs NAIA vs 1-AA...) and also let their parents know about the FAFSA, Pell Grants, and the like. We also have a pretty good track record at our school for getting kids WHO ARE WORTHY into some pretty good schools including D-I so the parents tend to listen to what we have to say. There are many other ways to service your kids - this is how we do it.

If you got kids who want to play D3 ball, I'm open to taking a look at them. PM me if you want to talk about anyone.
