Well, I tell you one of the things I do is just prior to go out to take the field (this is after warmups), we listen to our favorite sound - ACDC Thunderstruck- we shut all the lights out and tell them to visualize the night, how the game will be played, what their job is. I tell them to think about how they want to wake up in the morning. What is the first thought in their minds? Will it be a positive thought because we won or a negative thought because we lost.
Not sure if it worked at all but we were successful going 12-2.

Coach,
We used a relaxation script along with a visualization script from a book. I think it really helped our kids learn how to have the proper focus before a game. Kids loved it!! The book is a great resource and I reccommend it to any coach. It's called "Sport Slump Busting" by Alan Goldberg.
