What are some things you do to encourage staff unity, both during the season and out of season?

My wife fixes a big post game spread for my staff and they can bring their families to visit. After we eat, the coaches break down the game film from that night and the families usually hang out for a while before going home. My wife also likes to host a pre-season get together for the coaching staff, the administrators, and others involved with our program.
Did I mention that I am blessed with a great coach's wife?

we find running from a maurading band of parents after a game to be a great bonding experience........and escape to a few beers.
** Get togethers at the HC's for a barbeque in the summer.....tons of 7-on-7 time.....full weekends at away contact camps w/kids....golf outings.....

We really enjoy our beer. (just ask coachjd and the St. Paul boys) We break down film on Fridays over "a couple" of beers. Play paintball and golf together, go to clinics. We have 2-3 get togethers with the families after games during the season and usually one preseason get together.

We do clinics which are always fun. We fish and hunt together, play cards, we've done cruises, and eat quite a few lunches together during the day. We probably have 3 post game parties a year and a few post season ones. We're a pretty tight staff.
