It sounds like a lot of people in here think that Nutt is completely right here. Malzahn and the player all got the idea that they were going to run the spread from somebody. Thank you.

And as someone already stated on here, they tried it early and got spanked by USC with Mustain throwing three INTs. That seems like a good enough reason to try running the ball, which they did with very good success.

Actually, Mustain played very little against USC.
He was brought in late and led a hurry-up no huddle drive right down the field and scored a TD.
It was against USC's reserves but he did not throw 3 int's that night.
The INT's came, and came, and came...in later ball games.

Anyway, they all get a fresh start. It will be interesting to see how things work out for all the parties involved.

I haven't read both pages of this thread so I may be repeating something...
I think that most people that support the Hogs just want Coach Nutt to stand up, be strong, tell the truth, and make it happen.
If you saw his press conference right after Mitch Mustain asked for his release you could tell that Nutt has a hard time just looking into the camera and telling the truth.
The reporters had to ask him several times before he admitted to granting Mitch his release.
Note to Nutt: Stand up, say it's my team, it's my a.. on the line. Things will be done my way. Anyone that isn't on board with that can go somewhere else.
We would all respect you more.

Last off-season the rumor mill had Malzahn coming in to learn the
ropes and eventually get the job after Nutts Fire
(sports talk radio on Ark. and La). the hire of Malzahn was not
really Nutts idea but a strong suggestion by the Admin. But Nutt
won and now has his MOJO back so I'm assuming he's
rearranging the staffs responsibilities such as Malzahn you clean
the toilets this semester. But this could be all wrong could be
just a rumor

I obviously don't know any of the parties involved, nor do I know the whole story. There's three sides to a story- yours, mine and the truth. However, I will always back up a coach who is taking flak for his scheme from people like commentators, sport's writers, parents, ADs, and spoiled 19 year old QBs. Especially when that coach busts out double digit wins in the toughest conference in the country

Their "Wildcat" series was very effective for them. Did Malzahn bring that in or was it Nutt's idea?
