The Hurricanes will have a team meeting on Wed 2/1/06 at 8pm at the Sylvan Street Grill in Salisbury, MA. We will have the second floor meeting area.
The meeting will start right at 8pm, we will be going over team philosophy, generally how we will operate in 2006, a few Xs and Os, and a few odds and ends (paperwork etc).
After the formal part of the meeting the bar will be open for socializing and meet and greet with the new staff (bar does not open until I am done talking).
If you want to use mapquest for directions to Sylvan Street Grill, the exact address is:
195 Elm St Salisbury, MA 01952-1808 (978) 462-7919
Any questions please contact me via email or phone (978-761-3860). _________________ -Aaron Beineke Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator North Shore Hurricanes "Hardest Working Coach in Semi Pro Football" aaronbeineke@hotmail.com

At least one, Coach . . . . but this is for new players and exisisting. You never know who is reading, a lot of football people visit your message board. Maybe somone knows somone else that lives in our area and wants to play semi pro ball and has never heard of the Hurricanes etc.
We are looking for a couple of position coaches as well, again, who knows who is reading the board . . .

Yeah that is a weird post. I thought it was going to be something about Miami U. Maybe something funny / strange / messed up about a team meeting they had. You know, like players fighting or something...
So to make this more interesting what weird things etc have happened at team meetings for you?
I had one kid ask if it was OK if we tried to take the football away while we made the tackle. ROOKIES!!! And thats when I went into the tackle / turnover circuit discussion.

I am sure if we had the bar open before the meeting it would generate some good (or really bad) stories.

There are so many ways I could respond to this, but I will take the high road and say this: You went on a message board of predominately TEXAS high school football coaches and announced about a semi pro team in Massachusetts.
Huh?

Come on now, don't hate on the semi pro guy. Yes, perhaps there is a large contingency of Texas based HS coaches on this board . . .but it's a really good board with a ton of good info and discussion, so there are football people from all over the world on here.
As I said earlier, you never know who might be reading. I know there are often less than favorable adjectives used by coaches at other levels to describe semi pro football etc, but we are all still football. I have respect for what you do and expect the same in return.

I don's know if its hating on the semi-pro. Its just seems a little off-target to inform a team of a meeting on a message board that is intended for coaching discussion. I would suggest that you get your own website to keep members up to date. And / Or post on a more local board.
No biggie really, just strange.

If you look at the frapper map there are probably just as many guys from other states on here
It has a large number of texas guys on here because I have spread the word over and over on the texas hs websites out there
you guys do the same for your states
we want this to be a nationwide board
more to learn that way
