Basketball, wrestling and hockey are still in-season. Indoor track & baseball workouts have begun. We are down to about 20-25 kids in the weight room. We are right in the middle of our workouts (we don't max again until before spring break). We do competitions/points/"fun" activities, but even those get stale with the same 20 faces. Anyone have any good motivational stories (90lb weakling to DI All-American or "worst to first" 0-10 to state champs because of dedication or state champs with a bunch of hard working kids) We have great kids who will keep working but even the goods ones need motivation. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Start a 250lb or 300lb club for bench press and get those who make into those clubs a certificate and put their names on the wall. Kids will kill themselves for simple stuff like that. This is also a good time to work on individual skills for each position. It will be easier to teach the ones who have not been there than to teach everybody at once.
