My school doesn't have an O-Lineman Split marker and I know I have got to have one by August. Has anyone used anything else or even made one before, Is so how did you do it? I would use 2 x 4's but because I need to run the Mesh drip I was hoping not 2.

Talk to your local fire department(s) & see if they have any old firehose. Then use spray paint to mark the splits.

ive sene firehose ones before but they start falling apart after awhile, you get what you pay for usually and theyarent outrageously expensive, but if your not lookin to shell out that much money for one then id try to find a coach on this board, or a school near you that has an extra one they dont need, then buy it off of them for a discount

We use boards. We have taken two boards and connected them with a hinge and painted the splits. We put that on the centers left foot. We take another two boards and connect them with hinges and paint the splits on them. We put that on the center right foot. See really you need four piece of wood and connect them with hinges. The wood doesnt have to be very thick.

We are using the same firehose that I got at my old school and that was 10 years ago. About every 3 years you have to repaint them, but ours is still in great shape. We store it inside each night and during the off-season.

Firehose is the way to go. Measure it out in terms of what you use for splits, and spray paint them.
We have about 10 of 'em. They are the best FREE football coaching aids I've ever used. You can use them to run backfield plays off of, for training DL and LB alignments and reads, for pass skelleton drills, and even for sidelines or boundary markers in your tackling drills.
They're great!
