Our state doesn't allow spring ball until May. We can wear helmets and shoulder pads, but body to body contact is not legal. We only get 10 days. Does anyone have any practice plans laid out or templates available to share? Obviously we want to work on fundamentals, tackling drills (under the rules of no live contact), pursuit, ball security & takeaways, install base plays, etc. But how do you put this all together for a spring practice?

At my old school, they are currently having their Morning conditioning but are also allowed to teach certain skill/position-based activities. They obviously can't be in pads, helmets, etc but they are allowed to condition and workout. They start Blue Dawn (workouts) at 6 AM and will go about an hour to an hour and a half. I've heard from a buddy of mine that they are teaching the Seahawks tackling as well as chalk talking the plays (which most of them know already). We didn't use a template while I was there, but I can see what all I can gather up to help you out.

Coach. I don't have a template or anything bc like you, this is our first year with this set up in the spring. But we are gonna try to do a lot of what you mentioned. Our plan is to make these 10 days a lot like the first 5 days in the fall. A lot of fundamentals, and installation of our base schemes. To us fundys will be first. Installation secondary. And we will try to hit most of our major formation adjustments defensively as we start to put stuff in.
