For 60 years the USMC has brought toys to children who would not receive one if it were not for the generous gifts from average people.
with 14 days tell christmas donations are down all over the county.
In 2006 The USMC delivered 19.2 million toys to 7.6 million children. while this might sound like a lot of toys one has to remember there are about 13 million children living in poverty. so the goal of bringing a 2 toys to every child is not being met.
so while you are doing some christmas shopping think of those who will not be receiving a toy. a small toy is better then no toy. ages 0-3 and teenage years are shortest.
toysfortots.org has a drop off locator if you need to find one or you could make a cash donation which allows the USMC to buy toys in bulk at a cheaper rate.

For you ebay/paypal fanatics...no easier way then to donate some of that paypal $$ to something like this. My wife and I always find gifts we've never used, sell them on ebay, and donate to Toys for Tots.
