How do you other small school guys do it without killing yourself? We are a small school program, only been around for 10 or so years. Have very few former players still in the area, and very few of those want to help. I'm in charge of fundraisers, strength program, teach full time, youth program, JH program, laundry, etc. 2 of us 4 teach, 1 is in college, 1 is like a unicorn....you've heard of em, but never seen em. How do you split duties evenly as to not overload any 1 person....including you the HC?? Entering year 5, yet to solve the riddle.

GOOD PARENTS... This without a doubt has helped us get through a ton of stuff. We have parents that arrange and take care of pre-game meals. We have parents that take care of team snack after games. We have parents that help with fundraising. The key though is you have to find them and ask. Most of them want to help but aren't gonna ask or impose because they don't want to step on any toes. Find some good parents and life will become easier. We actually have a parent whose kid graduated 2 years ago and she still helps us every year with stuff.
Just a side note, no not all of our parents are in this category. You have to look for these parents, but once you figure out one of them they will usually help lead you to more.

Try to unify the weight program. Getting other sports coaches to help out goes a very long way. Divide things up and ask each assistant what they can research and do. Not completely run with if you/they aren't comfortable but just to do some of the leg work. Anyone that is a computer guy can do a lot of things much more quickly than those that aren't.

At the start of January I meet with all the coaches and we put together a calendar of what works best for us and try to combine it to the school schedule. We do it for 3 months and then meet again for the next 3 months or so. This way the coach knows where he needs to be and when. Also, reach out to other teachers in school who may like to workout and see if they can open up the weight room after school as well.
