s44.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3B2NXRD17RJ962V6VKS4HTKW7I mpegHere's a brief teaser of our defensive video...11 plays of the first half of the first game (#12 Team in the State 4A) It's a work in progress, and I should have a streaming link for you soon. Just wanted to illustrate some of the things we've discussed so far. I hope we can all start sharing video of our stuff - may make it easier in communicating ideas.

[glow=red,2,300]streaming feed......[/glow]video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7823593092731748404The entire video is around 25 minutes of just defensive cuts.....another one is going up today that is 3 1/2 minutes which features defense versus Pro I & Wing T / DW. Using Google Video could be a way (outside of ftp transfers) to share larger files and bridge the gap between different formats and codecs. The video quality seems to suffer, but you get the general idea. Just passing a new avenue for sharing information along - so if you get your video cutup from PSV (or whatever) you can upload it to GOOGLE VIDEO for everyone else to take a look. PLUS IT'S FREE!
(info) #78 /49 is going to U of Iowa on the grey shirt program (turned down Full ride to Stanford) - played most of the time as our fullback.
#8 was the Quarterback
#44 & 43 are two JUNIOR ILBs (43 was pre season all state LB)
#99 is the Free Safety (junior)
#22 is a three year letter winner at Strong Safety, playing WDE here (was pre season all state LB)
#11 is the Rover. (both 11 & 22 were 5'8" 155lbs)

Here is our highlight video from 2004.. If you go down to the bottom right of the player you will see an arrow type botton that is pointing down. If you click that then original size, the quality is better.. smaller pic, but better quality. video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2186418885535090948

Umm.. Around 250mb.. 30 minute clip.. I dont know how long it takes to buffer.. But it was pretty quick as far as a 30 minute vid is concerned.. Did you hear music or no?
I think its a great was to share video.. I am not certain.. but this could do away with all the codec problems we were having.

Brophy -- Great find. Like thurman said, it's a great way to standardize players and codecs (unlike Putfile). Wish the quality/size was a little better, but the price is right. Has anyone been able to save a video locally on your computer? Maybe you have to be online and stream it only. The download speeds are excellent.
If anyone needs any free avi programs let me know. I have a couple that can convert formats or create small clips from large avi files.

This is good stuff. How does it compear to Proscout. They have been calling me about the same thing where coaches upload game film for players and colleges. They also set up a online video exchange . What I like is the security. Can anyone see Google? I am still trying to sell the coaches in my conference on the idea. It also includes a video editing software which I have been using. Pretty easy so far. The best thing about it is that it is free, through some donation from US Football. I guess it is time to jump to the 21st Century

Pretty easy so far. The best thing about it is that it is free, through some donation from US Football. I guess it is time to jump to the 21st Century PSV file sharing package is a GREAT deal......however, as I understand it, parents and/or kids would have to PAY to access their video (which isn't terrible I guess)...but at least that way, THEY could do their own cutups, manage their own film, with the benefit of FILM STUDY in the off season (made easy). I've been working with my PSV stuff for the past week, and it will take some more time to cut up the entire season, but is definitely worth it. I think it is a GREAT deal...however, no one in our conference is agreeable enough to do film exchanges, let alone agree to use one platform. GoogleVideo is a cheap, dirty way of sharing film, and ANYONE can view it (although I know there are ways to make it exclusive use) - it serves the purpose of sharing on this site, however.

GREAT finds, CC!! Definitely tons of knowledge and information being passed as a result of THIS site. I finally got the full video up....check it out here video.google.com/videoplay?docid=78235930927317484044th team was the loser in the State Championship game (Ranked #2 in 4A) Last team was the returning State Champion and was knocked out of the playoffs by the above team. (These guys were #6 in 4A) We played some of our better defense against THOSE teams (...go figure) Really, just wanted to post the video to illustrate Hustle & pursuit.....One of our best plays came at the 4:00 minute mark with a punt return where 5 guys just get JACKED UP! ...lol in a game that was a dogfight. Our defense probably did the best in the final game - the highlight is almost the entire first half uncut - 7 successive 3-and-outs in the 1st half. Some good punt returns, punt coverages, and fake punts on there as well.

If anyone else can post how THEY posted their stuff (for others to benefit) it'd be greatly appreciated. Ways to get your stuff "published" Download the GoogleVideo uploader and use it to upload your videos to the Internet for all to view. This process may take up to a full day to complete (upload is quick, approval takes a while). If you have your video on DVD alreadyImport the DVD file (which will be captured as Mpeg-2) and save it to your HD with a video editing software......a quick and dirty way of doing it, would be a user-friendly program like NeroExpress www.softpedia.com/progDownload/NeroVision-Express-Download-5268.htmlfor download If you have (recommended) Pro Scout Video (or any other football video program) you can save your files as avi / mpeg / mov , manipulate them and then upload them once you have the file saved as a media file, you can go straight to uploading the video to Google. If you have your video on VHS (this gets tricky) You will need to purchase a proprietary interface device, such as Pinnacle's Movie Box it retails for around $50 - 90 to straight to your computer.

Is there anyway to transfer google vid clips to a dvd disk

hopefully someone has a better report, but everything I've experienced to date, has GoogleVideo is just a streaming element and the gsv file extension or whatever is not an actual video file.

Found a way that you can convert from Google to avi and other file types ... then save/burn to a dvd, etc. Follow this link www.tavisjohn.com/nuke/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=32Go through each step carefully ... it takes some time to convert. Also, I asked tog to create a separate sub board just for Google Video so that we can find it easily here on the forum.
