I was wondering how many of you guys use seperate workouts for your skills position guys and your linemen?
We use the BFS program and I want to keep the core workout the same for each but there is some ability to mix up the auxillary lifts. I am having a hard time really deciding what I would/could change in their workouts that would make that bigt of a difference. Any insight on this would be much appreciated. Thanks alot!

We tried the split workouts with our STUDS and SKILLS last year.
I'll never do it again for the main reason that accountability is much tougher. And when you get right down to it, Strength is strength. We will continue to break up our functional training into STUDS and SKILLS but not when we lift in the weight room. The more you use KISS in the weight room, the better. Been doing this 25 years and it was true 25 years ago and it still rings true today. At least in my little world.
Picture this - 2 coaches and 30 to 50 kids in the weight room. Our room is large enough to accommodate this many kids but the problem started when coaches aren't sure what workout which players are following. When they all follow the same routine, it's much easier to observe and coach.
Hope this perspective helps
