How many yards will a typical high school player cover in a two hour practice factoring in drills, running to the back of the line in said drills, reps in team and group etc. everything. Even the DL busting off the line, and then "running the circle" . Or a safety running the alley.
Adding up the total distance of every step a player takes at practice.
Look I know it would be nearly impossible to guess, and it depends a lot of position and how many reps a player is taking vs standing.
I've heard it can be 2-3 miles.
Maybe I'm off base? It's something we were talking about in the coaches office today.

We do Sonic Drill, something that tempo teams run. I'm the spotter and it kicks my ass.

We were talking about this the other day and just factored in getting to each place a player had to go based on one of our practices and it was about 1000 yards. it factored in pursuit but really no other reps were put in because we just didn't know how many he was getting or how many yards in team he ran.

I used map my walk two nights ago at practice and it said I went 3.2 miles during a 1:45 long practice. That did not include the walk out to the practice field (another 150-200 yards). That was just from coaching and not actually doing drills with players. I assume the players are going further than that.
