I know this might be out there a bit...this goes hand in hand with the offseason learning thread....but here it goes..
What if we spent an evening or weekend and video taped ourselves on a topic we felt comfortable on and "clinic" fellow coaches. It doesn't have to be long 50 min to 1 hr. With the price to send a DVD (67 cents), we would be able to help each other out.
I know talking with y'all have helped me out a ton but being the "visual learner" I am seeing it would help me that much more.
What do you all think?

only if I can wear a mask to protect my identity... Is there any coincidence that you just created a pay-website selling "Coaching Clinics" and playbook CDROMs, information? j/k. Not to sound like a broken record....maybe if we all chip in some more, we can help this board take off so Huey can retire.... Recording Meetings www.microsoft.com/office/rtc/livemeeting/default.mspxclick on QUICK DEMO.... When you think about it....that may be TOO MUCH information for our own good. Imagine having the online clinics available whenever you needed it? Yikes! Seriously, that would be pretty dangerous to learn so much football with such ease and volume!

B while a good idea in theory, it doesn't seem like something that would be "cost-effective" in that there isn't a way to get that info to the net in an efficient manner. filming a "clinic tape" and converting to dvd or vhs might be a good idea. but, that seems like alot of work. epsecially when you start making copies and sending out the packages in the mail. yes, i have thought about making a "series" of clinic tapes about our offense and mixing in cut-ups. this may be something i do in the summer as a way to have a "library" of resources about our offense for new coaches on our staff. but, i wouldn't think something like that would be worth much to someone else. for now, will just keep to the posts & the chat.

I could send a copy of a Jet series we run in DW. I am so tech illiterate I am not sure I would be much good at doing a video though! I am only a stones throw from the Stone Age. I still can't figure out how to make IDVD work. Also can't figure out how to burn a DVD on my computer. I only recwently learned how to send email! LOL

Brophy....man I wish I would have thought of that....
Coach Huey....I was not think of putting on the net. I was thinking that I have a good feel for Option & Offensive Line stuff and will be willing to put on DVD in a Whiteboard/Clinic Format what we do. Then Send it out to people here on this site...if somebody would do some Secondary Stuff for me. I know the possiblity of putting it on the net would cost you more than what you could reap back. IF we could use our strengths to help people improve their weaknesses...I am all for it.
Thanks for a great site

information....
this is something we all probably should do though. Not necessarily the trading of it, but film what we do.
I have filmed some drills and such in the past (filming practice), fundamentals, drills.....not with the intent to distribute via 'clinic' but more like showing either new coaches to our program or new kids into the program what we are trying to do.
visual illustration always works best....this coming season, it may be something we all can look at.
