my wife, herky has now signed on
she is the first female on the board
she knows more football than 99% of the male population in this country (this makes her cool)
Just wanted to say that I love her and appreciate her support in my coaching career and everything else she does.
I suggest you do the same now, so when your wife gets on you about how often you are on here talking football, you can show her this thread and let her know how sensitive you are.

Thanks, Tog. Football has been such a part of both of our lives, I cannot imagine it any other way.
Love you!

Herky,
welcome to the board! I could of thought of a lot better call name than "Herky"!!! My feelings are still hurt from our trip to Iowa City. 2x in the last 3 years. It was a great trip until the game started.

Thanks, jd
I though you would like 'herky'....beats goldie.
If you forgot what Floyd loos like, I'm sure I could arrange a visit.
Heading to Nashville? I am still being selfish and am bummed the Hawks will be in Florida and not in our backyard.
Are you ready for wrestling? Nice win for Konrad...all hawks enjoyed that!

Herky, welcome. I come from a long line of Hawkeye fans (I am a Husker now…). This is more of a mom story than a wife one but…
When I was a junior in HS I had a broken leg… while standing on the sideline during a game (which we lost 38-0, I think), my mother was at the edge of the stands calling for me. being a high school kid, I ignored this as long as I could, until one of the managers came over to me and said that my mom was calling me and it might be an emergency. On my crutches, I hobbled over…at which point my mom said “tell your quarterback to throw in the flats because there is nobody covering over there”. I still give her a hard time about that… but she was probably right.

Welcome, Herky. I enjoyed meeting you. At least you have a chance now of keeping tog in line. Apparently Hutto is giving Cuero all they can handle. Go, Hawkeyes!
