I have watched several playoff games in a few states and I have to say coaches are becoming more like parents it seems.
maybe I am old school but when the ref makes a call and I just ask the number of the kid and what the calls was. I lecture the kid not the ref. I watched more coaches berate refs in playoff games. it was like almost how dare you call holding on my little johnny.
I think the worst I saw was gary pinkle at mizzo. he was constantly on the refs for calls but when the replay was done his player was guilty of the infraction.
I also believe you are treated how you treat others. Is it really any different you berating a ref for a call and a parent berating you for a bad play call? I think not.

I also ask the ref for the # of the player. However, I have also commented to an official when we thought they made a bad call. We actually just received a lengthy apology from an official from a game which we thought was poorly officiated, and his apology basically agreed with us.
