I am probably opening a can of worms here, but...
How do you guys handle setting behavior expectations for parents? Do you do a parent meeting early, throughout the season, announce at the games, or a combination of all of it?
We want to take a proactive and positive approach. Will post my plan soon. Just want to see what works for you guys.
Thanks in advance:)

parent meeting at the beginning of the year, and if there is a problem in season we have another..and another if needed
all parents (and players) sign an ethics form, if they violate the terms of that agreement then they are no longer welcome on the practice field or at a game location.

Have to have a meeting before the season starts to set player and parent expectations. Plus a good time to go over new league rules and changes for the upcoming season. Being that I get new players every season I have to expand my speech as their are always a parent that will push the limits of the league or your coaching philosophy.

I have my parent meeting at the start of the season. I send out and email first to set the expectations and have a meeting with all the parents the first day of practice to go everything in person and so they can ask questions as well. The reason I send the email first is to make sure that all parents either say the whole practice or comeback by what ever time I set the meeting for.
