Guys,
I am looking for a company that makes highlight films. I am looking for any advice from your experience sending your games to a company that makes highlight films.
Thanks in advance for your input.

Is there nobody who can do it themselves? It's doesn't have to be complicated.

Well, considering I have a few irons in the fire, I would rather have someone do it for us.

It's not cheap. Around $150, but it's based on what you want done. I'd reach out and explain what exactly you want done, and see what he says.

I've done ours for the last 7 years... not difficult to do, but time consuming. I would just need the music and clips you want and I could do it for you pretty cheap. If you want me to go through every play and create it all from scratch, that is gonna take lots more time.
You want them to go through every play and create it? Or do you have all your HUDL highlights done from each week already?
Ours this season:

Hudl is a great avenue to use for Team Highlight videos....it can be a bit time consuming but if you use hudl for your season film breakdown, it is already there for you to use and it is cheap.....you put it together yourself, edit the clips, add some music...use the "spot shadows" to highlight a cerain player, and when you are done, you submit it to Hudl, and they send you back a download, which you then can upload to youtube...it costs 9 dollars....if you want the download and a DVD its like 25 bucks.....I've used Hudl for 2 years now to make our team highlight film and the only issue I have is that it doesn't allow you to use your own music, you have to use theirs, and their selections aren't the greatest. Also, it can be a bit time consuming because you have to go through and select each clip you want from each game, then edit each clip into the precise point you want it, but its kind of fun, and the kids love it....by he way, I am the HC of my program, so I like to do it myself to make sure it is done the right way.
Here is ours from this year, created using Hudl...

The embedded highlight video I just sent is quite jumpy on the Huey site...but don't let that detract you from using Hudl....it isn't jumpy on the Hudl site, youtube site, or in general.....

Slightly related. How long are the highlight videos you guys see and produce on average?

Slightly related. How long are the highlight videos you guys see and produce on average? I try to make mine between 30-35 minutes... then credits. Just so it is a long enough to really be more than just the TD's and FR/INT for the season. Includes some good execution of scheme to stop an option team to only 1 yard gain because all 3 potential runners are laying on the ground, things like that. We use the highlight video as an offseason teaching tool as well. Show them that when we execute our jobs, we get yards on O or stops on D

Depends...team highlight for a season, usually 20 - 30 minutes...I try to get as many good highlights in there, even highlights that others might not consider highlights (backup WR who only plays in mop up time catching a 6 yard hitch...I included that twice on the highlight video because I want the backups to feel as if they are part of it as well...and all the kids on the team went nuts when they saw the WR make the catch on the highlight video)

www.reelsportsreplay.com (click on "videos" button below the media window) I've been doing them since 2000. Pretty easy system. Get me clips from Hudl (add me as a coach so I can download the project). Tell me what songs you want for each game. Send me pictures. Give me a list of who you want to thank, etc. Add anything else...and boom.

Your kids can sit and watch a 30 minute highlight film?
