Gentlemen;
Thanks for your assistance in advance. I need your assistance inregards to the spread offense perception you have to deal with.
I am writing an article on the spread offense philosophy and how it is perceived from either a non-spread coaching or a casual fans view. Having been coaching the spread for 12 of my last 14 yrs I am trying to establish the bassi that the spread offense isnt really a scheme per se, but a philosophy of playing football. Justlike the wing-ters, DWers, triple options guys, and their way is a philosophical way of playing football, the spread too is a philosophical way to approach the game, not just a set of formations.
Thanks to Huey and a couple of other guys that have already PMed me with their philosophy, I really could use views of other spread coaches AND those non-spread coaches that have to defend the spread. Anything helps and allows me to have a more accurate view of how our beloved psread has evolved over the years.
thanks keith

for those coaches that have replied and given me information to help me write this article, I would like to say thanks. I am always looking for any kind of perspective regardless of offensive orientation.
