I have an odd request
I have been hosting a full contact team camp the last few years here
Insurance has never been a problem in the past but for some reason the district is really trying to make us work harder than we should for it this year
We are paying for insurance for every participant in the camp (player, coach, volunteers, even the spectators watching) everyone is covered
our district is saying we should get "reciprocal insurance" where we cover everyone, and all of the people that come to cmap have to come with their own insurance coverage for camp as well... essentially covered twice
I am trying to show them that NO ONE that runs a camp does this
If any of you have ever run any type of camp before, and HAVE NOT required reciprocal insurance can you please either leave me your email address or PM it to me... I have to compile a list of contacts to give to my AD... he will email you just to verify that other schools/districts do not do this
Thanks and I appreciate any help I might get from you guys

So they want to be insured, but they also want to make sure they never have to pay any claims?

So they want to be insured, but they also want to make sure they never have to pay any claims? They're making it harder this year than ever because I am getting the baseball and softball outfield fences taken down so that we can hold more teams than in the past. it will give us 3.5 fields and we will have 8 Varsity and 8 JV (possibly 9 of each) some people are upset with that so they are all over us ive run the camp the previous 2 years and no one from the district has even blinked let alone gone through the work to check in to things I just need a little bit of ammo to prove NO ONE gets this type of double coverage

would this not be state mandated? Why not just have the sign up form be a LIABILITY WAIVER?

would this not be state mandated? Why not just have the sign up form be a LIABILITY WAIVER? We already require a liability form filled out for every participant
