We are going to have our first ever Strength class for fb players. We are on block scheduling so we will meet for 90 minutes every other day. One week MWF the next just TUes Thurs we will have class. If any one is already doing this or has ideas about how we should be organizing this, I would appreciate your comments. We have a plan but if you have experience with this let me know. Thanks

I personally made my best gains on an every other day split routine;
day one- chest/back/delts/abs (torso)
rest
day two- legs/arms (appendages)
rest
repeat

Coach, we go daily, so I would have to revamp my schedule a bit, but we lift 3 days, condition (speed, agility, plyometric or power training) on the other 2 days. For a few months ((spring- during track season) we lift 4, condition 1.
I visited a very successful school in Colorado several years ago and they were on a block schedule. They divided up in to groups and lifted and conditioned for about 40 min. each. They were staffed to handle that (they had about 60 per class- 30 or so in each group).
Even if you are the only teacher, you could lift for part of the time, and condition for part- depending on your program goals, needs, etc.
Our typical schedule is: Lift Day 1 (Overhead Squat, Bench, Squat, Aux lifts- tri./shoulders, abdominal work) Lift Day 2 (Overhead Squat, Cleans, other olympic lifts poss.,Jammer, aux lifts lats, biceps, jump rope) Cond. Day 3- Speed work might include 10yd, 40 yd., starts, tennis ball starts, etc.; Agility could include pro agility and then a lot of drills we stole or made up) Lift Day 4 (Overhead Squat, Front Squat, incline bench, Jammer, a lot of aux. lifts, abs.) Cond. Day 5 Depends on weather but we do a lot of resistance on the hill or stairs if it is bad outside. A lot of box drills (jumps, steps, etc.)
If we had 90 min. I would split up each day in to lifting and conditioning to where you can get the most out of it. Consider what you do right now in off season and fit it as best as you can in to that schedule.
This class is vital for us- we are a small school and about 80% of our guys are 3 sport athletes.

We're block 4 per. so we go 90 min m-f (so there maybe some differences) but heres roughly what we do:
M&Th: Upper and speed training Tu&F: Lower and agilities/ PLyos Everyday two groups who rotate to and from weight room to track. I usually take the wt room, HC on the track (so you really only need 2 to run it). Granted your situation is a bit different seeing every other week you only get 2 days of work. You may have kids off schedule if they can work out on their own time. Other than that rotate muscle groups and make fit what you can
