we are having an athletic booster club fundraiser this weekend where the parents pay a lot of money for tables at a dinner. the coaches will be spread out among the parents. it is an adults only evening, alcohol will be served. there will also be a guest speaker.
has anybody done anything like this? what are your thoughts on this idea?

I know that we don't do anything like that. But we go around to local stores and get them to agree to certain specials that we put on a "Season Pass". We have the kids sell them to their parents, family, and it gets them into all the home games. We sell an individual pass, as well as a family pass (up to 4 people). A lot of the high school kids buy it, because they go to eat at the restaurants all the time.
Good thing is, the money goes straight to the Football Program too, because then the people don't have to pay at the gate (which gets split between all sports here). It has been a pretty good fundraiser for us.
