I have a question for all of the coaches out there, especially those at the high school level.
How do you organize your practice schedule in the summer? We start the end of July (30th) and have camp until the middle of the of August, which is about 15 days counting Saturdays. What is your practice schedule?
We are trying something new this year. We will start at 7:00 am and go until 9:30 (either offense or defense with special teams); a short 45 minute break to rehydrate and rest, and back on the field stretching at 10:15 to start at 10:30. We will go from 10:30 until 1:00 (doing the opposite of what we did in the morning and again special teams).
Does anyone else do something similar? Basically, we are starting ealier and eliminating the long lunch break and getting the kids in and out.
