the fact that people are comparing him to michael tells you he's a superstar.
slaps and average joes get compared to guys like adrian dantley or somebody.

I'm still waiting to sit in the stands of a HS basketball game, see a kid start to take over the game with a barrage of scoring, to hear someone in the crowd exclaim: "Why, he's the next Olden Polynice!"

Coach Huey I gotta disagree because Harold Minor was compared to Jordan and he was only good for winning a dunk contest. He was even called Baby Jordan.
I don't want to hear the excuse that LeBron was double and trippled team, he is not the first player in the world to have that happen to them.
1. In the playoffs and big games superstars get better. Stats and game footage will show he played better in the regular season.
2. Everyone keeps talking about the 49 point game (I may have that number wrong) but noone talks about the other 5 games where he layed eggs.
3. On more than one occassion during the finals he missed LAY-UPs to give his team a chance to cut the lead to six.
4.I dont care that he is 22. Basketball is a different game now because kids are training better and are playing more basketball before they get out of high school. You have kids competing in over a 100 games a year sometimes if they play AAU.
I am a LeBron fan but I think that because he has been so hyped and because he has performed so well that most are just willing to pass him the crown and say he is great. IMHO he played better in last years playoffs. His playoff run this year individually pales in comparison to a guy drafted 2 spots behind him by the name of Dwayne Wade, that is how a superstar plays on the playoffs and LeBron didnt do that.,IMO

Lebron James regular season: 27 playoffs overall: 25 finals: 22 tim duncan regular season: 20 playoffs overall: 22 finals: 18 tim duncan is no superstar, either. but, man, that tony parker is a hoss... reg. season: 19 playoffs: 21 finals: 25 could it be that cleveland's 2nd leading scorer for the season was averaging 13 points, and he dipped to 10 for playoffs. and the 2nd leading playoff scorer was scoring only 13 per? while, during course of season, san antonio had 3 players average over 16 per game and those 3 maintained at least 15 per in playoffs. if lebron isn't a superstar, then i don't guess i really understand the definition. in my mind, now, he will NEVER pass michael jordan as i can't see anyone ever doing that (personal). but, someone tell me how a team with no superstar and a bunch of slaps made it to the finals? .... or did they have 1 superstar? .... lebron is a superstar in a league where several superstars exist. add tony parker to that list (hahahaha) (and, in 2005-06) wade's regular season avg and playoff avg were the same (.7 or .8 higher in playoffs) while the finals was where he made the outburst to 6 points higher than regular season (which, of course, drove his overall playoff avg higher)
