are we talking the old mouse davis run and shoot or the new modern version of the run and shoot?
IMHO, I believe in 6 yr splits between rec.
on the hash this clearly has to be adjusted. when on the hash, in a normal two rec into the boundry I believe the wr should be 6 yds from the sideline or minus 1 yd from the bottom of the numbers. (bottom of numbers is 7yds, top is 9 yds.) depending on what we are doing the second rec would be either top of the numbers(3 yd spilt from other wr) or 6 yd split(this gives about a 3yd split between the slot and tackle).
to the trips side number 1 slot(slot closest to tackle) lines up directly in the middle of the goal post. the wr to thatside splits the difference between the top fo the numbers and the has. the second slot splits the difference between the number one slot and the wr.
I set up my field differently then most people. I put hashmarks and I also use red paint to draw lines running up and down the field. there is a 6 yd line from the sideline. there is a line in the middle of the file.
this gives rec a line to get a spacial awearness on. they know where to line up and it also helps to teach routes as the rec must stay on the line and only go off the line if they are going to adjust to the ball.
just my 2 cents, take it for what you think it is worth.
