I know many HS coaches in Florida have problems sending kids to combines. Not only does it seem like some of the ones being put on are just out to collect money, but are compiling in my opinion useless data at times. Some of the ones in Florida were scheduled during the Spring games and I saw kids in attendance who played a game the night before. Let's say a kid getting D1 attention posts a bad 40 time that is recorded and sent out to the colleges couldn't this be a detrimant to a player.
How do you guys feel about all the combines popping up all over the place?
I have always wondered why there isn't more education at these events about how to train better, eat better, etc...

We let the kid (and parents) make the decision for themselves. We let them know that the combine can work in a positive and negative manner. If he is a total unknown then it would probably only benefit the player, however, if a kid is already getting recruited he better be confident that he is going to put up some good times...

No, it's July 23 and 24. We'll be there. Hopefully, we can compete and succeed without any injuries. If you go come by and say hello. I met you a while ago but not sure if I totally remember what you look like...

For us it depends on if the kid is already getting good looks from colleges. If he is getting looks he will only lose out at a combine with a bad performance. We dont encourage those kids to go but it is their decision. If a kid isnt getting the looks its good to get the exposure. Personally, I agree with tog... film speaks for itself. Or even better scouts are always welcome to attend practices.
