For those of you who run no huddle, particularly gun do you have any ideas for automatic plays when def. doesnt align quickly? are automatics better from under?

We don't have anything like that but if someone does would like to hear it.
When the D isn't aligned that seems to mess us up more.

For those of you who run no huddle, particularly gun do you have any ideas for automatic plays when def. doesnt align quickly? are automatics better from under? bobby bowden calls these thingy around plays. when the defense is thingying around, not wanting to lineup, you need to have thingy around plays. wr screens can be a thingy around play. FSU will sprint out pass as a thingy around play. okay, since my word got deleted, I will refer to them as screwing around plays. when the defense is screwing around and not going to lineup. is this the kind of stuff you are talking about? |

we have a few "no checker peckers" in our playbook as well. these are typically sprintout or full zone plays where there is not as big a dependence on blocking rules based on a front, etc.
we really love to sprintout & throw the option route stuff.

Our automatics are based on the slot defenders and the cornerbacks alignments. If slot is inside leverage, we throw the bubble. If the corners are more than 6 yds off, we throw the hitch. If the corners are pressing or playing man, we throw the fade.
