Hey guys, just looking for some new ideas on running a youth camp. Our HC has asked for help organizing and running a 3-day youth camp for kids ranging in age from 7-14. Our athletes will be helping run the drills and activities, etc. We have some individual position drills and work planned. We also do obstacle courses and relay races and punt/pass/kick.
What are some other fun things you guys have done for youth camps that made them fun and active?
Thanks in advance.

We do the same thing here....when we do an offensive skill set part and ALL the kids go through every station (ie.. if a kid is a running back he still will go through the oline station) and then d and special teams....our is very basic and fundamental then after about an hour and a half I let the younger kids go and jr. high stays and we start install with them for about an hour.. we do our camp the week before two a days so the jr high gets a good basic look at install those few days.
One fun thing we did on the last day is a "sickle" drill...we had popsickles ready in coolers... we lined up all the jr high kids and told them they get a 5 sec head start and they better not get caught by our high schoolers... when they took off the younger kids (scared bc they think they are next) are told to go get a popsicle then our hs kids stop chasing and get one...the jr high kids kept running then finally turned around and realized what was happening (then we gave them one)...not really football related but it was a fun way to end camp

Thanks for the ideas; the sickle drill sounds funny.
We'll have about 150 little dudes running around by the way.
Organizing it all and making it all flow smoothly is the tough part.
