Guys, I need some suggestions. My wife and I needed to relocate back closer to home so I took a new job about a month ago. The old HCs son wanted the job and didn't get it....well he decided to leave this week (best for long run probably) but it leaves me with one coach. The coach left is a good football mind but he is limited in his abilities because of physical limitations.
We had a 7v7 last night and I ran the whole thing...it was fun but tiring and I know you can't be successful long term by yourself.
I have one coach coming for sure and the administration is saying the right things about helping hire new coaches...but we all know how that goes.
We are off next week for vacation and our coaches clinic so thre is some time to adjust but we start mini camp July 23rd and first official practice is July 30th.
My question is based on what I have not what I may get as far as help how can I best organize everything that needs to be done from wt room, county fair, individual, group, team, etc....
Thanks in advance...

When you run your individual stuff, you have to take the time to set up the drills and show the kids how to run them and what is expected. It will take a while, but it will make things run more smooth afterwards. I had 4 coaches on staff this past season, and there were 3-4 days I was left by myself with the whole team, so I had to learn on the go.
Once the kids know the daily drills you do, you can put scheme emphasis with one group while the others are doing their individual drills, and rotate it around like that. As I said, it's tough to set up, and the only way it can really work is if you hold the kids accountable and they (and you) follow through with their end of the deal. I'll be happy to answer any specific questions you have, just pm me and I'll be happy to help!
