questions i had in my interview last week:
Describe your approach to developng discipline both in the athletic arena AND in the classroom?
What is the one most important skill all head coaches should have in order to be successful?
What is the role of the parents within the football program? media? boosters?
How would you develop the lower (youth levels) in order to continue your success?
What is your greatest strength as a person and as a coach? your weakness?
How would you deal with difficult or irrate parents? boosters?
What role does the administration have in your program?
How would you teach (incorpoate ) pursuing victory through honor in your program? (hint: its part of the character counts curriculum - look it up)
What is the one most important skill for each of the following defensive postions - DL, ILB, OLB, DBs
same as above but for offense - QB, RB, TE, WR, OL
what are your general philosophies for O , D, and ST?
Tell me about your experience as a coach and a player?

I have an interview coming up and they called me to tell me that they've scheduled a 30 minute block of time for me. Does anybody else think this is a ridiculously short time? I feel like I need at least three times that to present myself properly

I was on an interview committee once and one question we asked was "what was your most disappointing loss as a head or assistant coach / how did you help your team deal with this / what positive came from it?
