Hey guys, we dont have a booster club to speak of where I am. However the coaches and wifes are looking to get one started and wanted to get any info (guidelines, promoting etc.) you guys can provide.
Thanks

This may sounds backwards, but my best advice would be to keep the coaches hands off of it. Find a group of parents, community members, business owners, etc. who may be will to do this. You should certainly have input, but I think that sometimes you can do more without having your hands tied by being a district employee. For example, if I run a booster club here, they would still have to follow district fundraising policies, but if it is run outside the school and coaching staff they can do pretty much anything legal that they want.

Our booster club has an informational website which has a copy of the Constitution, ByLaws, Meeting Minutes and other info. You may want to take a look to get some ideas. www.steinertfootball.com.
