Maybe should have PM'd you, but WHY do you need a job? If I remember correctly, you have already looked, but look into Arizona, close, and schools are opening all the time out here.

I took my family to Las Vegas Strip last summer for fun and saw how many teaching jobs were advertised in that fast-growing city. I was told that they couldn't hire enough teachers that they actually hired and trained military retirees. I am not sure how truthful that comment is but I'd look into Las Vegas if I were you - if you can handle dry desert heat there.

Saint - email me at highlightmaker@cebridge.net. Let's talk about teaching jobs if you need one and how you can make $$$ over the summer coaching camps.
School is located in Northern California (top 20 in the nation in 05...according to Maxpreps.com)

FELLAS I AM IN VEGAS NOW AND IT SUCKS. THE PAY IS CRAPPY AND THE SCHOOL DISTRICT IS TERRIBLE. THE PAY IS ABOUT 1800 A YEAR. THE FOOTBALL OUT HERE STINKS. ALSO THE COST OF LIVING IS TERRIBLE. $900 FOR A ONE BEDROOM APPT. IN A DECENT AREA.
I GUESS ITS GOOD IF YOU ARE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A JOB.

Saint, there are tons of jobs in AZ!! Our district alone has gone from 2 junior highs to 4 in less than 2 years, with another one being built. There is nothing but growth going on down here. If you have any questions about a certain area or school just let me know.

phoenix area. tuscon. metro dallas/fort worth. metro houston. metro austin. metro san antonio.
know for a fact that these places cannot hire fast enough. could be a great place, could be less then ideal, but in those growing areas, opportunitities abound. have friends in those areas and that's all they talk about.

We have a position open on our staff. Very close to TotheHouse's school, but more urban than his area. There is a new high school opening in our district next year, so there is plenty of opportunity for teachers. The coaching position will probably be filled soon, so if anyone is interested . . .
