haha very funny
I am not from WV but i now kind of hate Rich Rod I lost a lot of respect for him after leaving to Mich.
I hope Slaton stays in school and him and white dominate for WV next year and one of them wins a heisman.

WV is as good as they are going to get I dont blame him one bit for moving on. He left them in better shape than when he got there.

Coach Mallory,
Did you listen to the song? The answers are in the song!!! Kind of like the Beatles' White Album. LOL!!! That is why they hate him.

Absolutely funny and I think makes a good point. That song is why I do not understand college football.
When do you have the perfect position? How much is enough money? What about consistency? Making a home? Loyalty to players?
This is just another example of a coach who could have been an icon and a special coach at the place he was at but instead goes to a "better" school where he will just be another coach.
I just don't understand. Many will try to explain it to me and many have tried to explain it to me....I still do not and will not get it. That is probably why I would not be a good college coach.

I don't think he thought it was the perfect situation, though. He told a sportingnews reporter a couple years ago that, "Coaching at your alma mater isn't all it's cracked up to be." Also, Slaton, White, and Devine--yeah he's leaving WVU with quite a mess
