Boise? Pittsburgh has been known as a trick-play team for YEARS, well before Boise State entered the national football scene. New England was simply throwing something that the Steelers have done to many other teams (including the Pats) right back at them.

If you heard the press conference afterwards Belichek (I live in New England I don't even know how to spell his name, of course I would much rather spit on him than anything else) said "We have faced much better safeties than that." They wanted to win, but they wanted to show the BACKUP Free Safety that they were superior to him...
What a crock of mularkey.

I hope they release him and I hope the Dolphins pick him up. Come on, coach, that's just cruel. Funny, but cruel.

I have no problem with Belichick's post game comments or Brady's taunting during the game. The Pats didn't make the guy (I don't even know his name) a target. He made himself a target by spouting off to the media during the week.

I'm glad they embarrassed him. He opened his mouth, guaranteed a win. Someone needed to shut him the heck up. One must be careful when calling down the thunder...some times you'll get lightning. and dumb@ss got the lightning. I hope they release him and I hope the Dolphins pick him up. I'm with you...heck, I'm the biggest Steelers fan in Lanark, Illinois (Iknow, I know...there is only 1600 people in the town! ;D), but I agree that the Steelers got exactly what he deserved. The thing about the "guarantee" is, how unoriginal...how boring! Some second-tier, no-name player makes a hollow "guarantee" (IMO, usually for selfish reasons to draw attention to himself and to get his name and picture on TV and the internet) and then the media blows it up into a big deal when it is clearly not. What did Smith wager on his "guarantee"? Absolutely nothing...didn't cost him anything...Joe Namath is rolling over in his grave! (Ok, OK...not YET. But if he was dead, he WOULD be! )
