I just secured my first ever high school Head Coaching job!!!! After spending 3 years at a program where we had pretty good success (helped lead them to a 24-8 record with a Regional Championship birth), I decided to apply for head coaching jobs. After going on many interviews, I was able to land the job of my childhood town. They have struggled as of late (going 9-21 in the last 3 years), but there is no better program in my eyes. They are a new school (built 3 years ago) in the biggest classification, with tremendous size, but have problems in many areas that will need to be addressed. However I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on here and elsewhere as this is a direct reflection of you!! I am truly appreciative of the knowledge/ideas that I have obtained from coaches like you and websites like this. It's truly a privilege and I hope to return the favor to other up-in-coming coaches. THANK YOU!!

"Got what you wanted, now you're going to find out if you want what you're going to get."
I know that is right!! If there is one thing that I have noticed under the guys I have coached for; it is, being a Head Coach is by no means an easy job. Being the HC of a losing program is even harder. But to be honest with you, I look forward to the challenge and I think successful coaches look at it the same way. It will be tough, but a challenge I look forward to.

Lol, Khalfie you are completely responsible. I am just appreciative for everything you have done for me within these last 3 minutes. Without your assistance, I would have never been considered. I am just playing, but seriously there is a wealth of knowledge on this board and I do thank everybody who candidly shares their "secrets", ideas and beliefs. It makes our coaching community so much stronger.
