How do you go about with your kids, so they don't get to high, but get ready for game? Do you have them relax in the locker room? Do you show a pre-game movie? How do you have them, ready, but not to wear down to fast mentally? Thanks, bluecrazy

Last year we had a team meal about 3 hours before we left for the field, then had a little meeting went over some adjusments and asingments then sometimes we showed a clip of a motavational movie i.e. Rocky, Rudy, The Program then told the kids they had the rest of the time to get ready to go out and win the ball game our kids went to the locker room and listend to rap really loud in our locker room lol then the coaches went to the office and didnt talk lol.

Our team did the same thing...
Team Meal - always spaghetti and meatballs
Team Meeting
Then leave the guys alone.
The difference is our guys were not into rap, they liked metal. Usually Metallica. When asked why they listed to that.....they'd reply 'coach, it's ass kickin music'
