Does anyone's district have a school wide strength training curriculum in place? If so I would like to see it. My school refuses to look into any such concept meanwhile our opponents are kicking our butts at all levels in all sports. If you lined our kids up next to theirs whether in football, basketball, or track you can tell who has spent time in athletic development. I would like to see what some districts are doing.

Our football and basketball coached wanted to do this when I was in school...but the boards response was that they were in charge of making good students and people first, athletics is not a priority.

I think anytime that a school has a district wide strength program there are 2 factors.
1. Administration must believe in it, must provide the funding for it, must provide classes in the curriculum.
2. ALL coaches on staff must buy into it and sell it to the kids. All the coaches must be willing to learn what the goals are of the district wide program and help teach it, sell it and make time for it with their in-season and off-season workouts.

Yes, we use BFS. Our school has come a long way in the last 2 years. Even looking at adding a Current Events class where our junior athletes do the BFS be an 11! Program.
