I just moved to Arizona and cant seem to find a job as a volunteer coach out here. I had it easy with my first coaching job, because I was asked by one of my old college teammate to help him. Now that I moved and I am not a teacher, but my schedule allows me to commit to coaching, I cant get anyone to return a call or email. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can get someones attention for a coaching job and again I am just looking to be a volunteer, not looking to get paid for it. Thanks for any help.

Wow..amazing. I would think that FREE HELP would be wanted anywhere. I know if you were in Lousiana, it would be a cinch. I think one problem is the EGO'S of the other coaches.

I hope it not egos, my friend that got me my first job had a hard time convincing the HC to let me volunteer. There was grumblings of him bringing in "his" people and the HC didnt find them. I had to prove myself to him and I was always 100% supporter of his philosophy. I do not go around and act like I am the next great thing, I just have a passion for the sport and want to teach others that passion.
