how do you conduct summer camps? how long are they? what time of day do you conduct them?
i have hashed over using:
A) Weeklong skill player camp, a week long lineman camp, and a shorter team camp near the end to cap it all off.
B) weeklong skill player camp and a week long team camp.
C) one team (line and skills combined) camp only for an entire week.

Do you mean for your team or for youth of the area?
We go the week of two-a-days around 3 hours away.. We stay at a great camp... We get there around lunch time on Monday..
We eat lunch.. then have an evening practice..
we get up at 6:30 and run and stretch.. Then have breakfast each morning.. On Tues and Weds we practice about 30 minutes after breakfast.. then again after lunch, but only helmets.. and its more of a sprecial teams and special situation practice.. Then we practice again in the evening full pads..
On thurs we get up and only practice after breakfast.. then eat lunch and have a debriefing.. then we go home..
We scrimmage the next day.. then the next week we jam.. and then its ON!!!!

We have a lineman camp and a skill camp. This past summer was the first time we had the skill camp, but we've put on the lineman camp for the past 6-7 years.
The lineman camp was split up into morning and afternoon sessions. From 8-12 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday we had our High schoolers come in. Monday and Tuesday afternoons from 1-3 was the 6-8 grade session.
The skill camp we did a little different b/c we had never done one before and were just getting our feet wet. We went Thurday and Friday from 8-12 w/ everyone. I think next year we may go w/ the same schedule as lineman camp (HS in the AM, MS in the PM) on Thursday and Friday.
These are done the week after school is out, b/c we feel like we will get better attendance. We also have a HS team camp at the end of June. We actually go to another school, stay in there fieldhouse, and stay for 3 days. We practice from 8-11 AM and 7-9 PM the first two days and leave to go home after the AM practice the 3rd day.
