Coaching

I was asked, “How do you define coaching?” I don’t remember how I responded, because it was such a light and inane response, “you try to get the best out of your players,” or something of that nature. He said, “I don’t think you are on target. Your ability as a coach is a very simple thing. How well do you create in practice every, and I emphasize the word every, situation the player will face in a game and repeat it until he reacts by rote memory – no conscious thought”.-
